Privacy Policy
DF Protocol places great importance on user privacy and data security. This Privacy Policy outlines the principles governing data collection, usage, and protection within this protocol:
1. Minimal Data Collection Principle:
DF Protocol is a decentralized protocol and does not proactively collect any personally identifiable information (PII). The information required to participate in the network is limited to necessary cryptographic public keys, signatures, etc., used for identity and transaction verification; this information does not directly identify individuals. Our official website or community platforms may, with users’ voluntary submission, collect contact information (such as an email address for newsletter subscriptions), but we adhere to the principle of data minimization and only collect the minimal data necessary to provide services.
2. Transparency of Data Usage:
For the limited user data collected to provide auxiliary services (such as an email address submitted through the official website), its purpose will be transparently disclosed to users and used only for the purpose stated at the time of collection. For example, if an email address is used to subscribe to DF project updates, we will not use it for any other purpose. Without user consent, we will never sell, rent, or share personal information with any third party under any circumstances.
3. Blockchain Data Privacy:
Task requests and results executed on the DF Protocol network may be recorded on the blockchain or distributed ledger. These records are generally publicly accessible (unless additional privacy technologies are applied). Although these records do not contain personal identity information and only include wallet addresses, task content digests, and other anonymized data, users should still be aware that blockchain is inherently public, transparent, and tamper-proof. DF Protocol encourages users to adopt additional privacy protection measures (such as using a new address to submit sensitive tasks) to protect their privacy. DF Protocol is researching zero-knowledge proof technologies to enhance future on-chain privacy.
4. Cookies and Third-Party Services:
Our official website may use cookies or similar technologies to improve user browsing experience. These cookies are not used to track personal behavior and are only used to record preferences. If users do not wish to accept cookies, most browsers allow them to be disabled via settings. Our website and documentation may be hosted on third-party platforms (such as GitHub Pages, Discord). These third-party platforms may collect users’ IP addresses, device information, etc. Please review their respective privacy policies. DF Protocol will make every effort to use trustworthy service providers and require them to follow strict data protection standards.
5. Data Security Protection:
We implement reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect any user-submitted data. For example, the official website and community use HTTPS encrypted transmission, and sensitive information is stored via hashing/encryption, accessible only to authorized personnel. Due to the nature of blockchain, on-chain data is secured collectively by the network nodes. Although we strive to protect the data we control, users must understand that information transmitted over the internet is never “absolutely secure.” We recommend users take necessary measures to secure their accounts (such as protecting private keys, enabling two-factor authentication, etc.).
6. User Rights:
For the personal data directly collected by us (such as an email address for newsletter subscriptions), users have the right to access, correct, or delete this data. Users may submit requests through official communication channels, and we will process them within a reasonable time. Due to the immutability of DF Protocol’s on-chain data, information already recorded on the blockchain cannot be deleted or modified by any single party. However, users may stop using the protocol or change to a new address to isolate themselves from existing data.
7. Protection of Minors:
DF Protocol is intended for individuals with full civil capacity and legally established entities. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under the age of 18. If you are a minor, please use this protocol under the supervision of a legal guardian and avoid providing any personal information. If we discover minor-related information, we will delete it as soon as possible.
8. Policy Updates:
This Privacy Policy may be updated as the project evolves or as legal requirements change. We will notify users through official channels of any major updates and provide a reasonable notice period before such updates take effect. Continued use of this protocol indicates acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage users to review this policy regularly to stay informed of the latest privacy protection measures.
DF Protocol is committed to balancing technological innovation with user privacy. We believe decentralization does not mean abandoning privacy—the two can coexist. If you have any questions or suggestions regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact us through the official channels. We take your concerns seriously and will continuously improve our privacy protection efforts.
